So this is it… My very first blog post!
Not that I haven’t been thinking about it for quite some time. Quite some years in fact.
When I first planned to put pen to paper – or fingers to keyboard – my girls were barely out of nappies.
Now I’ve finally done it… Well, my eldest started secondary school this month and my youngest isn’t far behind.
I guess that’s parenting for you. Blink, and you’ve missed another day, another term, another year.
My Facebook feed is full of parents celebrating another milestone in their children’s lives – first birthday, first day in reception, big school, becoming a teenager, exam results, off to uni – and wondering where on earth the time has gone.
Which is really why I’ve called this blog ‘everyminute’. Because that’s what I’d like to do, make every single minute of our life as a family count.
Of course, a lot of the time, it’s not like that at all. I’m far too busy haring around, juggling one too many balls and stressing madly about dropping all of them.
But if I am going to make one resolution at the outset, it’s this: To focus as much as possible on what really matters, to live life to the full, to savour the moment and to remember that every minute, memories are being made.
